Library workshop: Finding information in the Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Climate Sciences: A Historical Perspective

The Schwerdtfeger Library will offer two workshops in September for AOS graduate students titled “Finding information in the Atmospheric, Oceanic, and Climate Sciences: A Historical Perspective.”

Starting with a sample search, these workshops will review the basics of compiling a literature review in the atmospheric, oceanic, and climate sciences with a special focus on historical sources of information. Attendees will learn how to make the most of useful tools like citation searches in Web of Science and Meteorological Abstracts, define your research problem, and utilize citation managers.
Since the librarians at Schwerdtfeger specialize in atmospheric and climate studies as well as remote sensing, these tailored workshops are advantageous for dissertators and graduate students with focused research needs.

The workshops will be held on Friday, September 11 and Friday, September 18th from 1:30-2:30 in room 823 of the Atmospheric, Oceanic and Space Sciences Building. Students can attend either workshop.
