Library Services for Students

It’s nearly the end of the semester! That may mean that research heavy coursework, exams, and papers are on the horizon. Here at the library, we offer services that may help:

1. Can’t find something?
The library offers assistance in requesting or finding books, journals, newspapers, magazine articles...anything you can think of! Whether the resource you’re looking for is on campus, across, the country, or in an international library we can help you get it quickly and seamlessly.

2. Need help refining your research question?
We are experts in constructing searches and framing research questions. If you’re finding way too much information and it’s hard to slog through, or if you aren’t finding enough, we are happy to consult with you.

3. Need a place to study?
The Schwerdtfeger library has a nice space to study with tables, chairs, extra outlets, and ample room. The added benefit of gazing upon the Explorer VII model and afternoon sunshine are thrown in for free! We are open from 8:30-5 Monday through Friday in room 317 of AOSS.

A wealth of resources, from research guides to subject databases to digital image galleries can be found on our website: www.library.ssec.wisc.edu
