The new integrated library system went live for all UW
System libraries on May 20th, bringing together, for the first time, the entire
online catalog for UW Madison and UW System schools.
Searching the UW System is easily accomplished by selecting
“UW System” from the dropdown menu next to the Catalog search box. Search
results screens have a new look and feel, allowing quick access to search
filters and one- click to get to
publication and availability information.
There are a few known issues with the software that may
impact use – the Library Technology Group is addressing them. As of June 4,
requesting items from other UW schools should still be done through
InterLibrary Loan as the UBorrow functionality is still under development. It is possible that items you have on loan
from other UW schools may not appear on your library account.
If you have trouble
renewing items it may be because the maximum number of renewals for graduate
students and faculty have changed from six renewals to three. Please email us at library@ssec.wisc.edu if you have any
questions on renewals or courtesy emails for overdue items, as well as any
other questions you may have about your account.
